The Payout Terms Checklist

Ten questions that work on any prop firm. Answer them from the firm's own current terms — not from a comparison table, including ours.

  1. Profit split

Is the split fixed, tiered, or scaled with account growth or payout count?

A headline split often applies only at a later stage or a larger account size.

  2. Payout cycle

How often can a request be made, and which event starts the clock?

A cycle counted from funding behaves differently to one counted from first trade.

  3. First-payout rules

Does payout one carry extra conditions, verification or a waiting period?

The first payout is where most unexpected delays actually happen.

  4. Minimum trading days

How many qualifying days are required, and what makes a day qualify?

Qualifying days are not calendar days; part-time traders reach eligibility later.

  5. Consistency rule

Is there a cap on single-day, single-trade or single-symbol profit share?

One outsized winner can reduce or void a payout with no drawdown breach involved.

  6. Minimum threshold

Is there a floor amount below which no payout is released?

A threshold can hold small early profits at the firm indefinitely.

  7. Rule status on a pending request

What happens to a submitted request if a risk rule is breached before processing?

In most terms, a request is not final until processed — the account rules stay live.

  8. Payment methods and fees

Which rails are supported, who pays the fee, and what is the settlement time?

Rail settlement time is added on top of the firm's own processing time.

  9. Grounds for refusal

Which clauses allow the firm to reduce, delay or decline a payout?

Any guarantee is only as strong as the exceptions listed next to it.

  10. Change policy

Can payout terms be changed for an account that is already funded?

If terms can change mid-account, today's figures are not a commitment.
